ON THE BLOCK: Don't expect Nathan Buckley to make changes to the team that recorded one of its best wins of the season against the Giants at Spotless Stadium. Jonathon Marsh's defensive work was good but his decision-making and skill execution let him down. Brent Macaffer limited Heath Shaw's influence but despite kicking a goal didn't do much else with ball in hand, so there's a decision to be made if the Pies look at the defensive forward option again against the Crows. James Aish was quiet.

ON THE CUSP: Levi Greenwood didn't play at any level on the weekend after being "managed" and should be fit to come back into the selection mix, while Tyson Goldsack was unlucky to be dropped after the win over Carlton. The premiership defender's versatility against a dynamic Adelaide forward line could be handy. Marley Williams will come into selection consideration after being dropped.

KATE SALEMME'S FORECAST: The Pies fielded arguably its strongest team of the year at Spotless Stadium and it was no surprise that meant a renewed confidence as the team played the exhilarating football we expected of them this season after a strong NAB Challenge. Travis Cloke warmed the hearts of all who wear black and white as he returned to form in a big way, Jesse White was taking marks and kicking goals and Darcy Moore was jumping at everything, while Alex Fasolo's importance is underrated. The Pies are a dangerous prospect for any team to face in the run home and could possible do some damage, starting in Adelaide on Saturday night.
