Collingwood footballer Alex Fasolo will take what is expected to be a short break from playing as he manages the challenge of depression.
Fasolo, 24, will not play against Fremantle this weekend, but take time out in the interests of his health.
He will continue to train and prepare for football with the expectation of a swift return to playing.
It is requested that Fasolo's privacy be respected.
Collingwood has added five players – including a potential debutant – to its squad for its trip to Perth to take on Fremantle at Subiaco on Sunday.
Callum Brown, Mason Cox, Ben Crocker, Jackson Ramsay and Henry Schade are all in the mix to take on the Dockers after being added to the extended 25-man line up.
Small forward Jarryd Blair has been omitted, while Alex Fasolo will not play this weekend.

A potential debutant?
Brown has been included in Collingwood's squad for two of its past three matches.
Originally named an emergency for the win over Hawthorn a fortnight ago, Brown again finds himself in the mix to make his senior debut.
The teenager has played six VFL games after overcoming a bout of glandular fever.
Playing in the midfield and across half forward, Brown is averaging 22.5 disposals and 4.3 tackles per game.
Should he play, Brown will become the 1142nd person to represent the club, following in the footsteps of his famous father, Gavin.

On the edge
It is the second time in as many weeks that Ben Crocker has been added to the squad.
The youngster played 10 games in his first season last year, finishing it with three goals in the final round against Hawthorn.
He has kicked seven goals in five games, bagging two in each of his past two games.
