Collingwood News - Alanna Mullan Collingwood has named its 23-player squad for Sunday’s round five clash against the Western Bulldogs in Morwell. In the absence of defenders Ash Brazill and Ruby Schleicher, Ebony O’Dea and Maddie Shevlin have been named in the backline. The two last took to the field in round two against Carlton. Sophie Alexander is also amongst the inclusions being named in the forward line while Eliza Hynes has added to the extended bench. Sharni Layton: 23 hit-outs, 15 disposals and a goal against Melbourne Sunday’s game will mark the first encounter the Magpies and Bulldogs have had since the 2018 season. Both sides will arrive in the Latrobe Valley having come off disappointing losses in round four. The Pies’ round four loss sees them in fourth position on the ladder in Conference B, one win and percentage behind second-placed Melbourne and third-placed Carlton. The Dogs sit in fifth spot. Sunday’s game will be the first of a double-header with the Marsh Community Series game between Collingwood and St Kilda to follow.
