Comments by Director of Football Neil Balme.

Brenden Abbott (shoulder): "Brenden hurt his shoulder in the VFL and had to come off. But he’s responded well and we’re pretty confident that he’ll be available this week."
Tony Armstrong (knee): "Tony had a bit of soreness in his knee. Illiotibial band syndrome. He’s been a little bit sore but he’s recovered reasonably well so we’re pretty hopeful that he’ll play this week."
Levi Greenwood (thigh): "Levi missed the game. He had a bit of soreness in his thigh. We’re pretty confident, in fact, very confident that he will play this week."
Nathan Freeman (hamstring): "Nathan has had that hamstring which has taken a fair while to come good. He’s doing a reasonable amount of work on it but he’s still got a fair way to go so he’d still be medium-term."
Tyson Goldsack (knee): "Tyson missed with knee tendinopathy. He’ll be out for as long as it takes. He won’t play this week, hopefully the week after he will be available. But we’ll make sure we get it right. He’s short-term."
Brent Macaffer (knee): "Brent's knee is coming along pretty well. He’s having a run and a kick. He’s still got a bit of work to do to get himself back to playing, but it’s very we’re moving in that direction. He’ll play later on this season."
Jackson Ramsay (shin): "Jackson is still pretty slow with that shin. It’s been very frustrating for him, as it has been for us. But it is a stress related injury and however long they take, they take. We’re getting on top of it fortunately but it’s still medium to long term."
Ben Reid (calf): "Ben missed (the VFL) with a calf problem. That’s now looking like it maybe might even be a strain. He’ll miss this week, hopefully no longer than that. He is certainly short term. It’s pretty disappointing."
