It's not a bad bunch of inclusions into a Collingwood side set to take on Fremantle in the club's second JLT Community Series game on Saturday.
After a summer of training and preparing, the stars will be ready to fire when they take to Mandurah's Rushton Park at 1.40pm local time.
For Thomas the game acts as his long-awaited return from suspension, while the remaining quartet will look to pick up where they left off in 2016.
Grundy will join Mason Cox and potentially Lachlan Keeffe in the ruck after the latter pair combined for 38 hit-outs against Essendon a fortnight ago.
At their feet – a sample of the midfield some are regarding will be one of the best in the competition in 2017.
Scott Pendlebury will play his first match of the season when Collingwood meets Fremantle on Saturday.

After a fifth Copeland Trophy last season, Pendlebury will have the assistance of Treloar, Adams and Steele Sidebottom in Mandurah. Thomas, Jordan De Goey, Levi Greenwood and Jack Crisp are also expected to join the midfield rotation.
The trip West will be a historic one for the Magpies. Just four days after taking one of the biggest team photos ever, both the men's and women's Magpies will share a flight to Perth for their respective games.
Not making the flight are three players who lined up against Essendon in the JLT Series opener.
Jamie Elliott will miss as he recovers from a minor ankle injury, as will the hamstrung Ben Sinclair and midfielder Josh Smith.
Fremantle opened their pre-season account with a 55-point loss to the West Coast Eagles in Geraldton.
The 29-man squad will be cut to a final team of 26 before Saturday's opening bounce.during the pre-season and eventually saw him sent in for surgery.
