Collingwood prime mover Dayne Beams is free to take on Gold Coast after being cleared of striking Carlton's Ed Curnow during the third quarter of Sunday's 15-point win.
Beams was reported on the night by a field umpire but the AFL's Match Review Panel's assessment of the incident found that the 2012 Copeland Trophy winner has no case to answer.
The 24-year-old's input will be crucial to Collingwood's chances of beating Gold Coast on its own turf.
He averages 33.00 disposals per game against the Suns.

The AFL's Match Review Panel released the following assessment of the Beams-Curnow incident:
The match day report laid against Collingwood’s Dayne Beams for striking Carlton’s Ed Curnow was assessed. After speaking to the umpire that laid the match-day report, receiving a medical report from the Carlton Football Club and reviewing all available footage, it was determined the force used in the contact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

Two other incidents from the night were also assessed by the Match Review Panel:
Mitch Robinson, Carlton, has been charged with a Level Three Striking Offence (225 points, two-match sanction) for striking Taylor Adams, Collingwood, during the first quarter of the Round 15 match between Carlton and Collingwood, played at the MCG on Sunday June 29, 2014.
In summary, due to his previous poor record, his two-match sanction must remain at two games, even with an early plea.
Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Collingwood Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three Offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of 68.75 demerit points, increasing the penalty to 293.75 points and a two-match sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 220.31 points and a two-match sanction.
Contact between Carlton’s Dale Thomas and Collingwood’s Dane Swan from the third quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was required.
