Vice captain Taylor Adams is one of three inclusions in Collingwood's side to take on Brisbane at the Gabba.
283 games of experience will return to the Collingwood line-up on Saturday when Taylor Adams, Travis Varcoe and Ben Sinclair enter the Magpies' starting 22.
All three return from injury to strengthen a team travelling interstate for the third time this season.
Adams has overcome a knee injury and Varcoe a hamstring complaint, while Sinclair this week passed concussion tests after sitting out Collingwood's round seven clash with Carlton.
Nathan Buckley's side was one of the youngest and least experienced to take the field last weekend. The Magpies played with an average age of just over 23 years old, with an average games total of 68.8.
A fifth defeat of the season followed against the Blues, with the Pies now desperate to snap a two-game losing streak.
In Brisbane they will face another young side seeking an elusive early season win.
The Lions will be without dangerous midfielder Tom Rockliff who suffered a hamstring injury in a 77-point loss to Port Adelaide on Sunday.
However former Magpie Dayne Beams will be a player to watch, with the 2012 Copeland Trophy winner set to play his second game of the season after returning from injury.
With Adams back in the midfield, Beams will resume hostilities with a Collingwood midfield also consisting of Scott Pendlebury, Adam Treloar and Steele Sidebottom.
Varcoe moves onto a wing, while Sinclair will start in the back pocket.
For another member of Collingwood's defence, Saturday's trip to Brisbane will serve as a game to remember.
After four seasons on the Magpies' senior list, Jack Frost will play his 50th AFL game against the Lions.
Since coming off the rookie list to be a late inclusion against North Melbourne in round one, 2013, Frost has been a reliable member of the Magpies' back six.
The 195cm defender played all 22 games in 2014 and added another 20 last season as he made a habit of keeping some of the best forwards in the game quiet.
Frost will keep the fuss of his milestone to a minimum, as will Buckley who coaches the Magpies for the 100th time on Saturday night.
Buckley has stated throughout the week that his side needs to be "harder" and will no doubt look for an improved output from his players in the round eight clash at the Gabba.
